BC First Nations Community Learning Network
Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) is a branch of the Canadian federal government that works collaboratively with partners to improve access to high quality services for First Nations, Inuit and Métis. The First Nations Public Service Secretariat (FNPSS) supports BC First Nation communities and organizations across the core public service sectors as they pursue excellence in their own governments and administrations.
Working in a team under Matching Solutions (Bronwen Geddes), I worked in a team to develop the Comprehensive Community Planning (CCP) Community Learning Network (CLN), which is a central hub for First Nations to come together and support one another’s community building through CCP. As part of this project, I co-hosted a monthly Community of Practice gathering that focused on Nation-to-Nation learning, supported by CCP mentors and an Elder. Our team also hosted mentorship gatherings, developed community-based CCP tools, and maintained a monthly newsletter.
