Naut'sa mawt Tribal Council CCP Community of Practice
Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) is a branch of the Canadian federal government that works collaboratively with partners to improve access to high quality services for First Nations, Inuit and Métis. The First Nations Public Service Secretariat (FNPSS) supports BC First Nation communities and organizations across the core public service sectors as they pursue excellence in their own governments and administrations. Naut'sa mawt Tribal Council (NmTC) is a Tribal Council serving 11 Coast Salish member Nations that works to support its member Nations in realizing their efforts towards self-reliance, self-governance, connection to culture, and quality of life now and for future generations.
Working in a team under Matching Solutions (Bronwen Geddes), I co-developed and co-facilitated a Comprehensive Community Planning (CCP) Community of Practice for the member Nations of NmTC. These gatherings focused on Nation-to-Nation knowledge sharing and relationship, guided by a NmTC Elder.
Impact
These gatherings provided space for Nations to think through their challenges, share their successes, and build practical skills like gran writing.
